This is not a drill. Japanese Classics has a Prelude for sale. A mostly loaded 1992 VTEC 4WS.

I want it. Please stop me. Help!

I tried to write a couple different things, but no, I got nothing. It looks good.

I visited them during an open house. I figured I’d just browse some...I ended up buying a set of wheels.

how many of those are left? KBB is useless for cars like this.

I really like that prelude. You should totally make this bad decision.

Just be sure to stay on top of the 4ws system maintenance. I hear they can be a handful when the rear decides to act independently from the steering wheel.

Is there a way to get them to not show already sold crap? Seems like it is page after page of “SOLD”.

Too new. ‘91s had pop-up headlamps!

They’re only about 2-3 hours from me. I may or may not have driven up just to look.

I know, I’m really holding out for a 5th gen Type S. And reading these comments in my notifications was torture.

Yep, I have one. With those pop-ups comes an extremely temperamental engine.

I don’t think so. On mobile, at least, it shows current inventory, then sale pending, then sold.

Come with me! :P Seriously though, if it had been a 2WS, I would have already called them. The 4WS system in these is notoriously fail-prone.

Hah. I am saving for something small, slow, and Flavien-esque, which doesn’t seem to be cool enough for the Japanese Classics folks.
But I spent many many years desperately wanting a prelude and that has all resurfaced now.

I remember 4-5 years ago they sold more kei cars, but now they only seem to sell Beats and Cappuccinos and maybe the occasional AZ1. More money to be made from R32s and other drift-friendly cars, I’d imagine. I’m very surprised they picked a Prelude up, but if I go look at it it’ll only be to see how RHD feels. If I were to bring a 4th gen over it would be a facelifted model (which will be importable late this year), not have 4WS or a sunroof, and would have the elusive LSD. I think I’m just going to wait a few more years for the 5th gen and get a Type S. By then the TSX should be long paid off and my current 5th gen will most likely have rusted to death.
